As a top decision-making body, our Board of Directors includes at least one director from each state affiliate, as well as representatives from retired members, aspiring educators, at-large representatives of ethnic minorities, administrators, teachers in higher ed, and active members employed in ESP positions.

Ever Flores, a life-long educator serving migrant students and families as a school counselor in the rural North Bay, has over 15 years of union leadership experience as local president, vice president, union negotiator, treasurer, state council member, at-large delegate/equity team chair and is currently serving as the NEA Director in District 2 representing educators from San Mateo County to the Oregon border at the federal level. In addition, Ever serves educators and students as an elected school board member at Santa Rosa City Schools, the largest CTA-Represented district north of the golden gate.
